Intensive Activity Period – Work Experience
Participants accessing ND25+ IAP Work Experience may have been through the Gateway period, but do require additional assistance to achieve their job goals or improve their overall employability. They may need general work experience to achieve employment as most will have been away from the labour market for a considerable length of time and some may have little or no work history at all. There are no formal qualifications achieved within this provision. However, if the participant does secure employment whilst on provision, and it would be beneficial to the participant and the employer then we would consider funding this for the participant.
Duration
13 weeks
Attendance Requirements
30 hours per week over 5 days unless agreed restrictions are incorporated in the participant’s Jobseekers Agreement, due to health conditions, care responsibilities, etc. Any variations to this attendance pattern need to be provided in writing.
Lone Parent and IB participants are required to attend a minimum of 16 hours including 4 hours job search per week. However participants are encouraged to increase their attendance throughout their time on provision to 20+ hours including 4 hours job search.
The times of attendance are also flexible and geared around the individuals needs. We usually recommend participants to attend 10am-2pm Monday-Friday.
